Trinh Trang, MD

Hi! I’m Trinh, one of the pediatricians at Next Generation Pediatrics.

My story begins in Vietnam, where I grew up. From a young age, I aspired to be a “kids’ doctor,” marveling at the diagnostic process as I watched my pediatrician uncle care for his young patients. After finishing high school I was fortunate to have the opportunity to move to the U.S., first to Minnesota (where I saw snow for the first time!), and then to Houston, Texas. After a challenging first year learning English and adjusting to my new surroundings, I attended Baylor University for college, majoring in Biochemistry. I then embarked on my medical career at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where I earned my MD. On the very first day of school I met my future husband Ian, who as chance would have it, was assigned as my lab partner for Gross Anatomy.

After graduation, we moved to NYC for our residency training, with mine in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. We now live in Greenwich with our two young children. The perspective I’ve gained from becoming a mom myself has taught me almost as much as my years of medical training in how to be a compassionate and effective pediatrician.

After working in a traditional pediatrics practice for 5 years, often feeling rushed running from room to room, I am thrilled to now work in a setting that allows me to slow down and spend time with my patients. What makes Next Generation Pediatrics so unique is the relationships we get to build, and our ability to be there for you when you need it most. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
